Working for Catey, the owner of Thread By Thread Boutique in South Glastonbury, CT, is a privilege in and of itself. Getting the chance to build a social media campaign to help spread her message and reach is another. These past six weeks, I’ve researched and developed a plan to take her socials to a new level, and the center of these efforts involve other local small businesses just like hers.
Community is key
When it comes to local love, no one does it better than Glastonbury. The town is a hotspot for small, independently owned business, many of which are family operated. These include restaurants, farms, wineries, and so much more. People here truly value the emphasis on community.
When it comes to socials, current TBT accounts are heavily followed by locals, and this gives the brand an exciting opportunity to incorporate these other establishments into a campaign where so many can benefit.
Full details of my proposal can be found in the file below.
Small business, big impact
What makes TBT special, aside from stocking high quality clothes at reasonable prices, is their mission. Key messages we’re highlighting in addition to the small business branding involve all the positivity Catey brings to not only her patrons, but the community and the world. You can learn about TBT’s giving back initiatives here.
The whole idea is to bring more growth, connectivity, and engagement to the brand by reaching a wider audience that goes beyond, but also includes, loyal TBT fashion lovers.
As a small business, it’s important the boutique gets the recognition on social media that they deserve, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned from Catey, it’s that if you have the means to do good, you absolutely should. So, what better way to use their platforms than by promoting both themselves and their community at the same time?
